The absence of time and space

I'm seriously considering changing the title of my Jano from If Everyone Cared to Absence. But I really like both titles! And they both have a lot to do with the story. Sigh. Indecision.
On the bright side, Jack managed to act despicable, and my MC managed to be not perfect for a moment. Best of all, Mikhail and Maggie are missing in action, which'll gain me hopefully a lot of words to find them.

My JaNo is coming along. It's a little drunk, but coming. Haha. I'm at 28k, and have about 7 days left. That's a lot more hopeful than my last post, but yeah. My MC somehow picked up some vampiric traits along the way. Kinda concerned about that, but yeahhh.
As for the plot, I still have no idea how I'm going to wrap this all up. I feel like it's getting kinda redundant....the vampire thing was unique, haha, but the rest is mostly them going around fighting stuff and finding people. Hum.

Well I'm at 15,422 words for my JaNo, and I should be at more than 30k right now. O.o
BUT if my calculations are correct, I only have to do 2500 words a day to reach 50k. That's a LITTLE doable. Not terribly...but a little. :D

Woes of stupid characters

Well I finally got my silly characters out of the hallway. They wandered around in the gym for a while, and now they're about to leave. I'm not exactly sure what's going to happen next, but I REALLY want one of them to get drunk! LOL and since Jack is my RBB (Resident BadBoy), it'll probably be him. Although I could get my FMC drunk, and she could have a "What's a place like me doing in a girl like this?" moment. Hm. hehe so many possibilities!
Oh and I managed to drag Mikhail back into the story, but.....he showed up in THE most annoying way. Grr. He can't just suddenly be a hero! Honestly.
Mikhail needs a slapping, Jack needs to get drunk, Maggie needs some nerve and Georgie needs to be less perfect.

I'm behind! Aren't you proud?

Yes I am about 5k behind. Amazing. Now I can commiserate with my fellow PENers.
I'm also kinda having writer's block. My characters are running down a dark hallway and suddenly there's these weird shadowy things "beating themselves against the ceiling." I have no idea what those are. And no idea if/how they're supposed to deal with them.
And seriously, where in the world is Mikhail? He needs to turn up. He's like....the important plot character that will not show his cowardly face!!! Curses.
Hmmm how could I bring him back...he was supposed to show up to help them save Maggie!!! Gosh. But noooo Jack pulls out his switchknife and does it all by his bad self.
Whatever. I'm going to go LJ about newsteam.

No Subject, haha

Hmm not doing so well on this JaNo. lol I'm like three days behind, and the first week is supposed to be the easy one. Hm. Well. We'll see what happens. It IS a fun story, though, I'd like to finish it.

*commence victory fanfare and confetti*

I did it! w00t! 50k in a month!! Although Peter says some of it doesn't count, but I believe in word-padding so ish to him!
So I'm taking a couple week break from that, and then I'll set to the mammoth task of editing. *pulls out the vodka* Gonna need a stiff drink beforehand. lol.
But for now I'm participating in JaNoWriMo, although I'm not sure if I'll make it this time, cuz I have a lot on plate.. you know, snowboarding and all that. Anyway THIS story is about four highschool students. Let me tell you, switching from an epic fantasy to a highschool drama is quite a leap. lol. Pretty intense. But fun. I'm trying first-person, which I have NEVER done before, so I'm learning a lot.

Well happily listening to Breaking Benjamin, happily very on track with my novel, and not so happily contemplating Latin. hehe.
But Cirx and Jevlyn are right on schedule with their little insurrection, and Tamila and Ramos are about to fight a battle. I have NO idea what Zarcael and my Evil Dark Lord Lookalike are doing, I'll need to check in with them soon. haha who KNOWS what sorts of mischief they're getting up to????

I...am caught up. O.o Somehow, it's true. Two late nights, full of caffiene, did wonders for my wordcount. I broke 42k today. :D So I'm kinda thinking that I might maybe sorta be able to do this, and I'm pretty stoked.
In other news, every other area of my life is crashing and burning into little fiery bits.
I got No Plot? No Problem! by Chris Baty yesterday, it is an excellent book so far, and I'm most of the way through it. It's not a very long book, so don't freak out that I'm almost done. lol.
Cirx is having tons of fun fighting street thugs, meeting his love interest, and other good stuff. Tamila is...being boring. As usual.

Tis the season...to write like heck!

Ok...I can do this. Just repeat that to yourself every time, that you feel that you're losing your nerve.
It's Christmas. Night. Actually, it's technically the 26th. I should be feeling warm and snuggly and delicious. Instead I'm having a mild panic attack.
I'm at almost 36,000 words. I should be at...umm....oh sick I should be at 40k! That's depressing. Okay so I have 14k left, for the whole month. So not counting tonight, I have....6 days, sooooo that's like 2,333 a day. Gr. I had it at such a lovely round number of 2000 a day. Whatever. Ok off I go....!!!

Hm well I told Beth last night that I think this novel-in-thirty-days thing is slowly but inexorably eating away at my writing ability. By the time the month is over I won't be able to write a formula SAT essay. Yes, I am mocking the SAT writing section.
Well as you can see I'm a little behind schedule, but if I do 2k a day I'll be fine. :D I think I can do 2k a day...hum.
So far today, I've named my last two original Jask fellows (LOL don't ask how they went unnamed this whole time) and Cirx has pwned a bunch of bandits. Granted they were losers and half-starved, but a pwn is a pwn. I think Ghent, his hawk, is feeling upstaged because he hasn't had any action since Rodan. GAH I need to stop calling him Ghent. Ghent is his original name but it's no good cuz it's the name of a computer geek in Timothy Zahn's Star Wars novels. LOL! So I'm going to change it to Ghen, I think.

Welcome to my official writing blog. Whee.
My current project is PEN (potentially evanescent novelists), a spin-off of NaNoWrimo. I have to write 50,000 words in 31 days.
Right now I'm at a bit beyond 30k, which is little behind but I'll be okay.
Upcoming projects will be editing this novel, and a novel in Feb. Haven't looked beyond that.
